This event was nearly destroyed by the gales of Saturday and Sunday.
However things had moderated by Sunday and a good percentage of the fleet -
especially the larger boats - enjoyed 2 races despite the bitter cold and
rain. By the end there was even a bit of sun and the wind dropped from
25kts to 10.
There were few participants from the Club, but Major Peter Scholfield and
his crew in his HOD 35 ‘Zarafa’ were 2nd in IRC Class 2.
The Irish were already putting down a marker for the Rolex
Commodore’s Cup by winning Classes 0 and 1.
